We are proud to have collaborated with the Hong Kong Jockey Club to produce two 30-second opening teasers for the prestigious Longines Hong Kong International Races. These films explore the grandeur of equestrian sport through two distinct cultural lenses: “Oriental Surrealism” and “Western Medieval.”
-
Film I: Oriental Surrealism — A dreamlike fusion of majestic horses navigating ancient Chinese architecture and ethereal waterfalls, blending tradition with a surreal visual twist.
-
Film II: Medieval Grandeur — A tribute to Western heritage, capturing the raw power and nobility of the medieval era through a cinematic, epic lens.
Technical Innovation & Biological Accuracy: The primary challenge of this project lay in the “Uncanny Valley” of AI-generated animation. Initial AI iterations struggled with the anatomical complexity of a horse’s gallop—specifically the lack of parallel movement in the hind legs. To rectify this, our production team undertook a deep dive into equine gaits, studying hours of high-speed footage to understand the intricate mechanics of a horse’s movement.
By applying advanced Prompt Engineering techniques, we moved beyond generic commands. We utilized specific biological descriptors—such as “four-beat leap with a moment of suspension where all four feet are off the ground”—to guide the AI. The result is a breathtakingly realistic portrayal of speed and power that satisfies both the aesthetic eye and the scrutiny of equestrian experts. This project highlights our ability to master emerging AI tools through the lens of human expertise and research.
